Mission Statement
To enhance the quality of life for burn survivors and promote burn prevention.
Description
Since 1971, AARBF has offered a variety of programs and services for burn survivors. Our most recognized is "Champ Camp", our summer program for burn survivors ages 5-16. Additionally we offer retreat programs for survivors which include our "Young Adult Summit" (ages 16-21), "Family Camp", and many social and activity outings such as ski trips and sporting events. We also offer a variety of support groups and resource contacts. In the area of prevention, we are nationally known for our "Stop Drop & Roll" prevention education piece on what to if your clothes catch on fire. We also produce materials for "Cool-A-Burn" (what to do if you get burned) and "Protect Your Child" (how to prevent infant and child scalds). Currently we are also working on the Firefighters in Safety Education and Juvenile Firesetters Intervention Training Programs.
