Description
One in five Americans has a disability, some are visible some are not. We offer services to all people with disabilities. Someone you know could benefit from our services, help us help them.
SIL offers services and advocacy to people with disabilities in Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga, Ashtabula and Lorain counties.
Some of the services offered by SIL are as follows:
Independent living skills evaluation
Independent living skills training
Personal Care Assistance (PCA) program
Newly disabled
Transitional Education program (TEP)
Information and referral (I&R)
Peer support program, including peer match and consulting
Ticket to Work
Assist with applications for HEAP, Gateway (section 8), Golden Buckeye cards and RTA passes
The ADA/Accessibilty program is SIL's only fee based program and was established to help businesses, municipalities and non profit organizations to achieve compliance with the ADA of 1990
