Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
The Foster Grandparent Program provides Senior Citizens age 60+ with an opportunity to add meaning to their life by mentoring and tutoring small children, and helping them with their developmental skills.
Make a Difference in the Life of a Child
As a volunteer in the Foster Grandparent Program, each volunteer serves a minimum of 20 hours a week providing one-on-one assistance to small children in Elementary Schools, Head Start Centers, Day Care Centers, Pre-Schools, Mental Health Centers, the Public Library and the Gateway Hospital.
Each volunteer receives a stipend, reimbursement for transportation, earns annual and sick leave as well as other benefits. All money received from serving is non-taxable and non-reportable. It will not effect any income the volunteer may already be receiving. The funds are to enable each volunteer to do what they do at no expense to themselves.
