The Foster Grandparent Program offers adults age 55 years and older opportunities to serve as mentors, tutors, and loving caregivers for children from birth to 21 years of age with special needs.

If you are interested in serving as a Foster Grandparent, you must meet an income eligibility guidelines ( one in the family allowed to make $21,660 per year). You will receive a modest, tax-free stipend to offset the cost of volunteering. Foster Grandparents serve 20 hours a week, usually 4 hours a day Monday through Friday at a variety of Volunteer Stations.

Other benefits include reimbursement for transportation, some meals during service, and accident and liability insurance while on duty. Pre-Service and monthly training sessions are provided.
