Mission Statement

The purpose of the Mission Viejo Library is to give this community a place to access information, experience cultural heritage, and pursue lifelong learning. It will be a place where people of all ages can go to find the facts, feed their dreams, meet their heros, and learn the truth.

Description

The Mission Viejo Library opened to the public in October 1997. In April 2002, the library expansion added an additional 14,441 square feet, bringing the facility to 41,500 square feet in size. The Mission Viejo Library is located at the intersection of La Paz and Marguerite Parkway across the courtyard from City Hall. LIBRARY HOURS - Monday through Thursday 10:00am to 9:00pm, Friday 1:00pm to 5:00pm, Saturday 10:00am to 5:00pm, Sunday 12:00pm to 5:00pm

I started in the tech center and then changes to the Amazon department listing donated books for the library to sell. The facility is a community gem and the staff and other volunteers are a joy to work with. There are many long time volunteers which speaks to the quality of the library. I love volunteering there.
