Make a Difference in the Life of a Child

The Foster Grandparent Program offers individuals age 60 and older opportunities to serve as mentors, tutors, and loving caregivers for children and youth with special needs. If you are interested in serving as a Foster Grandparent and you meet income eligibility guidelines you may receive a modest tax-free, non-declarable stipend to offset the cost of volunteering. Foster Grandparents that receive the stipend serve a minimum of 15 hours a week to a maximum of 40 hours per week (usually Monday through Friday) serving children one-on-one in a supervised setting. Other benefits include reimbursement for transportation, meals,annual physicals and accident/liability insurance while on duty. Pre-Service and monthly training provided.
