Mission Statement

Clonlara School's mission is to provide programs and services that recognize and support a leaner's curiosity, strengths, interests and talents as the foundation of his/her educational experience.

Description

We believe learning happens by engaging in one’s environment, with the people who occupy it. To that end, we operate with a learner focused, community-based, approach to education. Our goal is to engage learners through experience and exposure to the Ann Arbor community. To do this we are building connections with individuals and organizations within Ann Arbor. Through this approach learners will build skills while effectively pursuing their interests, curiosities and goals.

With that in mind, we are looking for mentors to come into our school and share their interests and talents with our students. Depending on the interest and needs of our learners along with yours, we offer a range of volunteer opportunities. Anything from engaging with our community for a couple hours, to a presentation, to visiting daily at a specified time to work with individuals and share your passion or expertise.
