Mission Statement

Our mission is to strengthen families and build better communities by providing prevention, support and counseling to children, teens and families. We accomplish this through our belief and vision that every child should be safe, that every troubled teen deserves help, and that every family torn apart in crisis be given the opportunity to mend.

Family Resources, a private not-for-profit organization, provides a vital continuum of services to children, youth and families. Our goal is to support the family as a whole and keep the family together. When keeping the family together is not a safe option, Family Resources offers community-based programs that teach young people effective coping skills as they transition into adulthood and other safe living arrangements. Our programs and services offer hope, education and skill building that give people the tools that are necessary to thrive. Based upon our mission, that we have kept in the forefront of everything we do, our focus is on prevention, support, counseling and safe temporary and long term residential programs for children and teens while family issues are resolved.

As an organization we embrace:
  • Strengthening Families
  • Advancing Youth Development
  • Accessible safety nets in times of crisis
  • Advocacy and education on behalf of children & families
  • Achieving one's highest potential
  • Diversity & cultural competence
  • Community partnerships and collaborations
