Mission Statement

The Mission More than 1.65 million Americans live in abject poverty, which is equivalent to $2 dollars a day or $510 dollars a month for a family of three. Our food program help only a minor part of this population since their income must be 130% below the official poverty line, it does not help the somewhat above poor populace. This makes it hard for individuals or families to make the necessary repairs on their homes since they are working on crumbs to feed their family. Not to mention poor housing can contribute to so many health problems, such as mold, excessive cold, which can cause cardiovascular, and respiratory diseases. Unstable health may also lead to anxiety and depression. Some of the ways that we can minimize the effects of poverty is by bringing together our resources; skills, knowledge, donations and volunteering to help produce more sufficient living environments for these individuals.
