Mission Statement

The Houston Mayor’s Office of Education Initiatives, a division of the Department of Neighborhoods, serves Houstonians of all ages by providing them with the resources and support needed to graduate high school, receive workforce training or a college degree, and find jobs with the most opportunity.

Description

To support Houstonians in reaching their educational and career goals, the Office of Education Initiatives hosts the Graduation Game Plan mentoring program in partnership with the Houston Public Library. The Game Plan pairs Houston-area middle and high school students with mentors who help them develop a plan of action for graduating high school, attending college, and starting their career.
