Senior volunteers assisting homebound seniors.

Through the Senior Companion Program, people age 60 and older provide assistance and friendship to homebound adults. Senior Companions serve frail homebound seniors and their caregivers. Senior Companions serve four or more clients on a weekly basis, working an average of 20 hours a week. If you are interested in being a Senior Companion, you must meet income eligibility requirements, and for your time you will receive a modest, tax-free stipend to offset the cost of volunteering. Other benefits include reimbursement for transportation, an annual physical, and accident and liability insurance while on duty. Paid pre-service and monthly training sessions provided.
