Be Empower! Community Services, Inc. (BECS) is a non-profit, direct assistance community organization. It is the vision of BECS to increase people's capacity to make informed choices and move into action. Our mission is to educate, coordinate, and provide services and systems of support to empower children, youth, adults and families in the Washington Metropolitan Area. The organization was founded in 2013 and is currently supported 100% by dedicated volunteers. Through referrals and community engagement, BECS provides food, clothing, professional development assistance (interview preparation, resume writing, job searches), tutoring, financial and budget coaching, and community service opportunities. Be Empower! is a mind-set.
