Mission Statement

We are a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization composed of some 1,000 members dedicated to the preservation and perpetuation of our country's only original art form - Traditional Jazz. Since 1979, America's Finest City Jazz Society (AFCDJS) has promoted Traditional Jazz, Ragtime and Swing throughout the San Diego area and the world.

Description

At the heart of our organization is the exciting annual 5-day Traditional Jazz Festival held Thanksgiving weekend. For over 30 years, visitors from around the world have visited San Diego to experience Traditional Jazz at the Town & Country Resort Hotel. Join us for 5 days of entertainment and fun with incredible musicians!

In addition, AFCDJS offers excellent monthly concerts, publishes the well-recognized Jazz Rambler, and sponsors exceptional education opportunities for young and old.
