we offer a 24 hour crisis hotline for those who are lonely, depressed and confused , in need of a non judgemental ear, to provide support and befriending to all in need. We offer a unique service.

The samaritans is a unique and special program. We have been in the capital district for over 20 years, offering a special support line 24 hours a day to individuals who have now place else to turn for compassionate , non judgemental support and listening. Our uniqueness lies largely in the fact that this is a volunteer agency, staffed by ordinary people who genuinely care. We share a deep respect for human life and a desire to reach out to those in emotional pain. A samaritan is one who has made a commitment to listen, to care, and to offer themselves to others as a living bridge from despair to hope.
