Description
To provide a public education program that will span the Selma community aimed at protecting its citizens from the diverse fire safety issues one may endure over her or his lifetime.
Objectives:
To reduce the number of fire-related injuries.
To reduce the burden of fire on property.
To teach the community-- young and old--to make responsible decisions leading to fire safety.
To encourage a holistic program based on education that rises to a level of understanding and practice.
To involve the Selma community by partnering with local organizations, institutions, and businesses.
To recruit and retain S.A.F.E. Ambassadors that will assist in program development and operations.
To solicit in-kind donations and funding for the program.
To create a community-owned program ensuring sustainability beyond the terms of the [3] VISTAs
