From finding a library book, to applying for a job, computer skills are necessary. During the past 3 years we have conducted Adult Basic Computer Literacy classes in Harlingen and Weslaco, Sebastian, Monte Alto, LaSara and LaJoya School Districts, along with the Library in Edinburg, Harlingen, Brownsville, Los Fresnos, La Feria, Raymondville, Weslaco, Donna, Alamo, San Juan, Pharr, Mission and La Joya. ABC computers labs are in the Harlingen and La Feria Library. ABC portable labs are currently assigned for the Pharr Goodwill Industry and the Head Start Programs in Roma, Sullivan City and Harlingen. As incentives, we provide refurbished Internet Ready computers to ABC students for a replacement cost donation.
