Description

We are a local non profit serving adults with mental illness. We have a really relaxed enviroment, our hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00-2:00. We need tutors in many areas.

Our mission is to assist adults with mental illness in job training. We strive to get people back into meaningful work, supporting themselves, and living independently. We are modeled after Fountain House in New York, a clubhouse program where the members are part of the organizations decision making. We have three training units; food service, clerical, and enviromental. We serve a hot lunch every day for $1.35 that our food service unit makes. We need assistance with basic education classes, tutoring, computer classes, literacy training, job readiness training (for instance, mock interviews), etc. We could also use help with administrative tasks like filing.
