Ombudsman Services of Contra Costa, a non-profit organization, has been serving residents of long-term care facilities within the county for more than 25 years. By maintaining a presence in long-term care facilities, we are able to ensure the safety of residents, assist them in maintaining their quality of life and, in the process, empower them to express their needs.
The most important requirements are compassion, respect for older persons and common sense. A positive attitude, the ability to communicate effectively and available time are important. Our 40-hour certification program will help you build skills in communication, listening, relationship building, and complaint resolution required to work effectively with residents.
