Mission Statement

NY TEMPO empowers youth to serve as dynamic participants in their community through the written and spoken word. NY TEMPO produces a newsletter for youth, by youth, expressing youth concerns. NY TEMPO also produces videos to share with the youth community, videos which are intended to be honest, respectful and positive.

Description

NY TEMPO (New York Teens Empowering More People Onward) forms the base for a youth group. We invite young people to write articles about their community and subjects of interest to them. NY TEMPO News is distributed through schools and churches. The newsletter enables the youth to develop their writing skills, organizational abilities and project completion mastery.

Additionally, some of the events our group has coordinated includes Masquerade Balls, our Annual Coat Drive, a Garden Fashion Show, volunteering at a soup kitchen, a trip to the Museum of Modern Art, a Yoga for Youth class, Video-Game Mini-Tournament, Family Movie Nights and more.

NY TEMPO is currently expanding its social media presence as we produce videos for the youth community.
