Description

Wildlife and environment conservation outreach
NOAA is the federal agency responsible for the conservation and protection of living marine resources.

Represent NOAA at public outreach events and mentor and teach in local public elementary schools. The CEC is a very new and innovative program designed to increase public knowledge and appreciation for marine wildlife and its environment. CEC members teach conservation in local elementary schools and represent NOAA at public events such as community festivals, conventions and outreach educational events. Training is provided (eight 4 hr sessions) uniforms are provided. The program has received much praise from local schools and has received awards from NOAA.
NOAA is an agency under the Dept of Commerce, they have a law enforcement division that enforces commercial fishing laws and protects endangered marine wildlife.
