The mission of the Executive Service Corps (ESC) is to make nonprofits successful. To achieve our mission, we provide consulting, coaching, and professional services to other nonprofit organizations. Each year we serve help 1.2 million people.
The Executive Service Corps ESC is a 41-year-old nonprofit organization that provides consulting and coaching services to about 150 philanthropic organizations, associations, and governmental institutions each year.
When I found ESC, I was really excited. Here was an organization that was helping nonprofits deal with the very same challenges that I’d been dealing with in the business world—struggling to do more with less, experiencing incredible change, managing the people part of the business. As a volunteer, I’ve found ESC’s nonprofit clients to be open, welcoming, and grateful for our presence. Helping nonprofits be the best they can be. That’s what ESC is all about. And that’s what makes volunteering with ESC so enriching.
ESC gives me a chance to work with a group of friendly smart experienced former (and current) executives, use my skills from my business career, learn a lot of new skills, and do good for organizations that help a lot of people. What's not to like?
ESC has a wonderful Training Program. They really want you be a very effective volunteer and provide a lot of help and encouragement. If you want to feel appreciated and needed, ESC is the place to be.
