Mission Statement

The goals and objectives of this organization are to provide low-cost sterilization of companion animals, educational and informational services consistent with humane care, and placement and keeping of companion animals for the communities of Western North Carolina.

Description

Humane Alliance employs 3 veterinarians, 1 registered veterinary technician, and multiple support staff members. Cats and dogs from the general public as well as animal shelters and rescue organizations are brought in Monday through Friday for surgical sterilization. Emphasis is placed on quality of animal care before, during, and after surgery. Humane Alliance also includes Mountain Area Rescue of Equines (MARE) and The Anna Marie Goodman Foundation.
