Mission Statement

The Appalachian Trail Conservancy’s mission is to preserve and manage the Appalachian Trail - ensuring that its vast natural beauty and priceless cultural heritage can be shared and enjoyed today, tomorrow, and for centuries to come.

Description

ATC's Virginia Regional Office, based in Roanoke, coordinates volunteer maintenance and conservation along 450 miles of the legendary Appalachian Trail. This national treasure is cared for by over 6,000 volunteers each year from Georgia to Maine.
Anyone with a love of the Trail and a desire to help protect it can be a part of this community of dedicated stewards.

Let us know where your interests and skills lie, and we'll find a rewarding way for you to be a part of protecting the A.T. in Virginia!
