Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
Because it is easier to "build" a child than restore an adult. Every child deserves the chance to explore their full potential - many of our youth are way behind grade level and need one on one help.
We began in 1996 providing the faith based component in a local shelter/detention center for court ordered youth ages 12-18. We are non-denominational and cross culturalyouth ministry. We offer a speakers program, Bible studies, arts and crafts, fellowship, etc. We also have a neighborhood youth center that is free, offering tutoring, arts & crafts, cooking, gardening, basketball, bible studies, lifeskills, sewing, computers, etc. This center is open 5 days a week from 3:30 - 8:15 for youth ages 6-18. We have a group home for homeless girls ages 12-17 and are in the process of having a home zoned as a group home for homeless boys. We rely on volunteers to share their skills with our youth, helping our youth broaden their horizons.
