The Atlanta Regional Commission Area Agency on Aging has a wide variety of volunteer opportunities for all ages and areas of interest to assist older Americans in providing infomation, resources and services to improvre their quality of life. These opportunities are available throughout the ten county Atlanta region. Adult volunteers may contact our office by email (jfouts@atlantaregional.com) or phone (404.463.8749) to receive an information packet on volunteer opportunities. The most popular opportunities are listed on this site. They focus on GeorgiaCares program responsibilities ranging from one on one in-depth counseling on Medicare issues to administrative assistance at the Atlanta Area Agency on Agency downtown office. Our goal is to enrich the lives of seniors and volunteers through matching skills and interests to service opportunities that will meet the needs of both parties. There are many ways volunteers can assist the older population from a few hours a month to several hours per week. We greatly value volunteers and their sincere commitment to the area of service they choose.
