Mission Statement

Heart of A Thousand Hills' mission is to coordinate and provide essential school supplies and uniform to Rwandan orphans/street kids that do not have the adequate support in further enhancing their educational pursuit.

Description

Heart of a Thousand Hills (HOTH) is the heart's work of Nina Iliza, a Rwandan transplant in the United States. HOTH was born out of Nina's passion and call to give back to her home country. The aim of the organization is to enhance the living conditions for remaining orphans and street kids in Rwanda.

Recently orphanages in Rwanda have been closing forcing parentless children to live on the streets or in family members’ over-crowded homes. Through strategic partnerships with local educational organizations, HOTH will provide children with uniforms, school supplies, and books.

Beyond the material needs for success, the heart of the organization aims to inspire the children of Rwanda towards excellence and success. We believe that empowering the children means empowering the entire nation. Thus our passion is to insure a stronger Rwanda in the future.
