Description

MD TAP's programs make assistive technology more available, affordable and usable.

The Maryland Technology Assistance Program (MD TAP) helps Marylanders with disabilities get the technology they need to live, work and learn more independently. "Assistive technology" has revolutionized life for many people with disabilities, enabling them to get jobs, start businesses, succeed in school, live in their own homes, travel and participate in their communities. Assistive technology includes wheelchairs, vans with wheelchair lifts, ramps for homes, devices that speak for a person, hearing and vision aids, computers with special software and keyboards, and many other products.
