LEAP of Noble County, Inc.

Description

Volunteers have the opportunity to support LEAP in a number of ways. LEAP seeks volunteers to tutor, assist in adult classes, and provide administrative and outreach support throughout Noble County.

Volunteers have the opportunity to work as a one-on-one tutor with an adult or child who is seeking to improve their educational skills. Volunteers will be trained and supported by LEAP's professional staff. Volunteers should commit to one or two 90 minute shifts per week for a period of six months in order tutor. Students have a variety of needs including supporting school success, earniong a GED, or learning English as a New Language.
There are a variety of administartive tasks volunteers can undertake including labeling donated books, folding and delivering program fliers, an participating in the mailing of LEAP's bi-monthly newsletter. For a dedicated volunteer, there are opportunites to serve as a receptionist/Admin. Asst.
