Mission Statement

The Center Project's mission is to provide resources and a safe space for LGBTQs to meet, to play, and to grow. Our outreach focuses on youth, families, and people living in rural areas.

Description

The Center Project is Mid-Missouri's first and only community center focused on the needs of lesbians, gays, bisexuals, and transgenders (LGBTQs).

Our goals are to encourage respect, safety, inclusion, and compassion among people of all sexual orientations and gender identities; foster greater understanding, visibility, support, and appreciation of LGBTQs; and promote unity by providing educational outreach, community activities, a resource center, a lending library, and support services.
