"To empower young people to own their economic success."
Junior Achievement offers a direct and hands on opportunity to make a positive difference in your community's future by "empowering young people to own their economic success."
JA Consultants deliver JA Programs to students in grades Kindergarten thru 12th grade. All the programs are outlined in a lesson plan format making it easy for volunteers to prepare for each session. Sessions range from 1/2 hour to 45 minutes each and the number of sessions range from 5 to 7 visits depending on the JA program.
JA programs bring "real life" into the classroom providing students a glimpse into their future and encourage them to think about developing their own future.
The three pillars of Financial Literacy, Entreprenurialship, and Work Readiness are themes thoughout all of the JA programs. These matched with the experiences and guidance offered by the volunteer provides students with a meaningful and often, life-changing experience.
