Description

Northwest Paddle Surfers organizes the largest SUP event in the Pacific Northwest. The main event is a 13 mile race around Mercer Island, located on Lake Washington between Seattle and Bellevue. Top paddlers on the planet. All paddlers in the 13 mile race will be competing for $10,000 in prize money in the unique "Sweep or Weep" format in which various board length classes try to steal the purse from those on longer boards. Additionally, the 3-1/2 mile race follows the shoreline of Seward Park. It is spectator friendly as fans can follow the action along a bike path! The Kids Race for ages 7 to 14 is always fun. It will be expanded this year for the serious little charger but still a great and safe time for the new little paddlers. The 2016 Round the Rock is once again a non-profit event and all net proceeds go to the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research
