The Volunteer Center of Fresno County is offering senior citizen a chance to have fun meeting new friends and sharing their life's experiences, interest, and knowledge by becoming a mentor for the Hoover Pyramid Mentoring Program. The Hoover Pyramid Mentoring Program was created in 2002. However, it is an extension of the very successful school-based Hoover High School Mentor Program whcih began in 1996 and has matched more than 300 students each year. The program has been twice selected as the Outstanding School Based Mentoring Program in California.
