"Seeking to put God's love into action, Upper Cumberland Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope."
Upper Cumberland Habitat for Humanity, a non-profit Christian housing ministry, builds affordable homes in partnership with God, families, and individuals in need. We believe that every man, woman, and child should have a safe, affordable, and energy efficient place to live in dignity and stability. UCHFH strives to assist individuals in Putnam and Overton Counties of substandard, unaffordable living situations. We invite volunteers and partners of all backgrounds to join us in this work. We also have an elderly repair program called Aging in Place and Neighbor 2 Neighbor that focuses on individuals over 60 needing affordable home repairs. We need dedicated volunteers to help make these repairs. This program is for senior residents of Putnam and Overton counties who need affordable repairs done to a home that they currently own and live in. The focus is on seniors, age 60 and above and focuses on accessibility improvements, mobility modifications, weatherization enhancements, and critical home repairs that are crucial to help seniors live in their own homes longer. Upper Cumberland HFH wants to make continued homeownership for seniors a reality so they can age in place with the comfort and dignity they deserve.
