Mission Statement

The Truro Recreation and Beach Department provides the residents and visitors of Truro with healthy, beneficial programs, and manages the town beaches.

Description

The Department's main office is located in the Truro Community Center and consists of an administrative office, a recreation lounge, an all-purpose auditorium, and the Puma Park Playground. The Department's beach office is located at 36 Shore Rd, North Truro.

In addition the Department oversees activities on Snow's Field and the field on the Truro Central School.

Here is a list of services that we offer to the community:

· Youth after-school program
· Youth sports
· Adult fitness classes (yoga, Pilates, Zumba)
· Hiking/Walking Club
· Special events (Summer Kick-off party, Visit with Santa, Bike Rodeo)
· Beach services (Lifeguards)
· Summer Youth program
· Youth sports clinics
