A hospice volunteer needs a genuine spirit of care and companionship and a desire to do something nice for someone who will really appreciate you. If you've always "wanted to volunteer but just couldn't find the time," make the time now. It's a decision you'll feel good about everytime you visit with your new friend(s). HCH will thoroughly train you before sending you into the field and you will be compensated for your mileage and/or public transportation fare.
