Because native plants are local to their area, much of our informal educational focus is provided through our chapters: conferences and workshops, monthly speaker presentations and field trips, plant rescues and various community projects.

Nationally we provide a variety of programs including the Wild Ones Seeds for Education Program and its affiliated Grant Program, the Wild Ones Discussion Group and other social networks, the Wild Ones Annual Meeting/Conference, the Wild Ones Journal (See attached.), the Wild Ones website and the WILD Center, a showcase of native plants and natural landscaping which also serves as our Wild Ones headquarters.

We also provide a variety of downloads and pre-printed promotional materials which we make available for free to not only our chapters and our members, but also to other conservation-minded organizations and the public at large. We have recently taken on the challenge of increasing habitat for butterflies and other pollinators. Specifically, we have focused on the monarch because it is so well-known. With our "Wild for Monarchs" campaign, it is our goal to help preserve the monarch butterfly migration by encouraging everyone to plant more milkweed and native nectar plants
