Mission Statement
Legal Aid of Southeastern Pennsylvania's mission is to provide quality civil legal representation to low income and vulnerable people in Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties, to empower them to solve problems without legal representation through legal education and increased access to the courts and to change community practices and systems that cause or aggravate poverty.
Description
Legal Aid helps low income people who have civil legal problems and cannot afford an attorney. LASP helps with housing law, consumer law, employment law, access to public benefits and health care, and family law including child custody and obtaining protection from abuse orders for domestic violence victims. Last year, LASP handled more than 7,000 cases in the 4 county suburban Philadelphia area.
