The purpose of the organization is to offer support, resources, and education to individuals, families or groups in the area of grief, suicide prevention, and loss due to death and suicide.

Specifically the organization is organized to provide support to people who are experiencing grief due to the death of a family member, friend or acquaintance. Organize and direct groups to meet for the purpose of grief support. Provide educational materials to funeral homes, schools,churches, and other appropriate groups when requested covering grief related subjects. Provide or participate in workshops, conferences or seminars in the area of grief, general bereavement, suicide prevention, and loss due to death or suicide. Make resources available for individuals seeking to become grief facilitators.
