Literacy Volunteer --Be A Part of the Solution!

The Friendship Reading Center, an after school literacy program, provides tutoring and reading support for elementary students ages 8 - 12.

FRC is committed to building literacy and enhancing education in Mt. Auburn. Our program is structured around three basic concepts: Active Learning Time, One-on-One Reading and Computer Literacy. We serve approximately 36 students who are selected through a new partnership with William Howard Taft Elementary School. Students attend one day per week based on grade level. We work with them to develop cultural awareness and expand their world.
