Mission Statement

The CARE Center of Queen Anne's County is dedicated to promoting healing for child victims of sexual abuse or severe physical abuse and neglect.

Our mission is to create a community where children are safe, families are strong, and our child victims become children again.

Description

The CARE Center promotes child abuse prevention and provides Queen Anne's County with a nationally endorsed response and treatment method for child sexual abuse cases.

The program is a partnership of Queen Anne's County Department of Social Services, the Maryland State Police, Queen Anne's County Sheriff's Office, the Centreville Police Department, Queen Anne's County State's Attorney's Office, the Mid-Shore Medical Program, and mental health professionals.

Using a collaborative, multi-disciplinary approach to the investigation, prosecution, and treatment of child abuse, these key professionals work together on behalf of the best interests of the child.
