Mission Statement

We educate, organize and mobilize to demand that our tax dollars and use of public property do not go to businesses that pay poverty wages. We believe that everyone who works full time should be able to survive on what they earn and support their families.

Description

San Francisco Living Wage Coalition is a grassroots movement of low-wage workers and their allies fighting for economic justice. Since 1998, we have been working to change political priorities so that government does not subsidize poverty wage employers, and engaging in a transformative rethinking of the economy that makes the goals of economic development a more prosperous, healthier and livable community.
