Combining stream monitoring, educational outreach and citizen action, Blue Thumb strives to increase awareness about: surface and ground water quality, the impacts of water pollution and the simple things everyone can do to protect water quality. Blue Thumb trains volunteers to identify sources of pollution and their impacts, analyze the health of local streams and implement pollution prevention practies.
