Description

Remains relevant into the next century by doing what it has always done well: changing the world, one kid at a time.

Children have the opportunity to participate in activities spanning a common set of six core program areas:

Education - Less than half of all American high school students can read, write, and compute well enough to succeed in the current job market.

Arts - Participation makes a more significant difference to young people from low-income backgrounds

Life Skills - At BGCB, children can come to a safe place to talk about issues that concern them.

Leadership & Character Development - Leadership skills evolve through trust, cooperation and decision-making practice.

Sports, Fitness & Recreation - Regular physical activity is regarded as an important component of a healthy lifestyle.

Technology - Our goal is to enable low-income children to become "fluent" in the use of technology.
