Description

We strive to strive to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of families, children and senior citizens by offering effective health and human services.

The following are programs offered at ABJ:

TEEN REACH - provide children/youth with a positive alternative to the streets and encourages them to talk about their problems and needs.

HIV/AIDS PREVENTION/EDUCATION - provide clients with information/education to assist them in changing behaviors that place them at risk for contracting HIV/ AIDS.

ABSTINENCE EDUCATION - inform adolescence of the risk associated with premature sexual activity; reduce teen pregnancies, avoid the risk of sexually transmitted diseases and provide youngsters with better decision-making skills.

P.A.C.E. - provide adoptive, and/or foster families with parenting training, educational services, family life education, child/parent bonding, and counseling services to residents who are at risk of abuse and neglect.

JUNIOR GOLF - disciplined sport teaches self-awareness, responsibility, self-confidence and personal development.

GED - assist individuals in obtaining a General Education Diploma.

FOOD/CLOTHING PANTRY - Food is also distributed on an emergency basis when the need arise. Our clothing pantry is a direct result of community participation.
