Description

The agency provides services to help older Kentuckians and their families, through a statewide network of local, private and public agencies.

The Office of Aging Services provides:

Leadership in responding to issues that relate to older Kentuckians;

Developes community-based systems of care that foster independence and protect the quality of life of older persons and young functionally impaired adults;

Promotes citizen involvement in the planning and delivery of services;

Coordinates with other agencies to insure the efficient and effective integration of services for the aging population; and

Advocates for continued involvement of older persons in the mainstream of society.
