Cedar River Shelters, Inc. is an all-volunteer charity dedicated to increasing community support for local programs providing basic needs to the homeless, especially on an emergency basis. It supported the opening of an additional shelter to provide emergency lodging after hours and distributed funds to seven (7) shelters that house or feed the homeless. Current efforts to assist the homeless require greater broad-based support if we are to succeed in combating homelessness in the Linn County area. Cedar River Shelters, Inc. was organized in December 2001 as a §501(c)(3) non-profit charity and provides information about local homeless assistance programs at: www.CedarRiverShelters.org
