Description

Who hasn't forgotten someone's name, misplaced their glasses or walked into a room and forgotten why they enter? UCLA Center on Aging offers memory training course to help improve one's memory.

The UCLA Center on Aging offers one of the first of its kind, a memory training program based on research conducted by the UCLA Neuroscience and Human Behavior Institute.

Memory Training is a five-week course led by two trained volunteer trainers who present excercises to participants with age-related memory concerns- the program is not for people with Alsheimer's or dementia. The course explains how memory works, offers quick strategies for remembering names, faces and numbers, provides basic memory tools.

The volunteer trainers present the course around greater Los Angeles at senior centers, churchs, temples, medical centers and the like. The class is very interactive so everyone finds it not only educational but enjoyable as well.
