Communities in Schools of Greater Greensboro is a United Way member agency. We connect community resources that help students and families live more healthy lifestyles, develop marketable skills, and help children stay in school, learn more successfully, and prepare for young adulthood. The first among many important connections we make is between a child and a volunteer tutor, mentor, and friend. Just one hour per week. Research and experience have shown over and over again that one of the best ways of turning a failing situation around is to introduce a caring adult into the life of a CIS student.
