Children in Hartford need your wisdom and your care.

We serve two elementary schools in Hartford, where our wonderful volunteers serve as tutors and mentors both during school hours and in our after-school program. The majority of our volunteers are retirees from towns surrounding Hartford. A typical volunteer commits to coming to the school for one to two hours every week. Our slogan is "Do what you LOVE, and make a difference" and we find that most of our volunteers return to the agency every year. The Center for Youth offers an after-school volunteer the opportunity to create strong bonds with a child through one-on-one contact. Our in-school volunteers get to know even more children in the classroom setting. We will train you and meet your needs, because WE LOVE OUR VOLUNTEERS!
