Description

The mission of Dignity Kids is to educate and empower youth through fitness-based programs that teach STEM concepts, encourage healthy lifestyles, and promote positive youth development through opportunities to learn, succeed and belong.

Dignity Kids specializes in free programs to schools, primarily in Maricopa County, for students in grades K-8 using fun, energetic sports science concepts to encourage healthy lifestyles and promote positive life skills. Our programs also teach age-appropriate STEM concepts (science, technology, engineering, math) to encourage students to value STEM skills as a pathway to career success.

Our programs are taught by specially-trained volunteers and are available as assembly presentations, classroom presentations, and before and after-school programs. All programs are tailored to meet the needs of the participating teachers and students.

The programs offered by Dignity Kids encourage positive youth development by giving children, many of whom are at-risk, an opportunity to learn, succeed, and belong. Children are encouraged and rewarded for demonstrating teamwork, leadership, confidence and respect.

Dignity Kids also offers community services to schools and youth organizations such as fundraising packages, mascot appearances, free bounce-house rentals, festival booths, and "Heroes in Waiting," an anti-bullying program.

Thanks to the generous support of our partners and volunteers, all of our activities and programs are offered to local schools and organizations year-round at no cost to them.
